Weekly Update

The school year is officially in full swing. As your child is getting back into the habit of waking up and doing their homework, we are embarking on some exciting new curriculum in Rockstars. Starting last week, we are using two separate curriculum. One curriculum is for the 4-6 age group and centers around the 10 commandments. The second is for the 7-10 group and centers around our need for salvation through God. These curriculum coupled with our amazing team of teachers are allowing us to interact with the kids in a more exciting way on a weekly basis. We are all excited for the opportunity to utilize this new curriculum. One major and important aspect of this curriculum is the take home. Your child received a special take home item. For the younger groups it was a ball and for the older group, a key chain. These items also come with cards that give a brief synopsis of the weekly lessons as well as an activity or series of questions for you and your child. We ask that you would please make the most of these tools. We love teaching your kids every Sunday, but it's up to you to make God a part of your child's life during the week.

We also have an event coming up in just a few short weeks. We will be having a family BBQ at Bob Tripp's house for all of our Rockstars families. It will be Sunday Oct. 9 directly following the morning service. This is a great opportunity for your family to be a part of community with the families of other young children at our church. Food and fun will both be provided so all you have to do is show up. We hope that you received a flier as you left church this week, but if you didn't you can email me for more info.

Finally, I want to say that the Rockstars team loves your kids and we love you. We are glad that we can be a part of your family's weekly routine and we want to serve you as best we can. If you ever have any needs or suggestions, please don't hesitate to email me.
